securing co-sponsors for important legislation that enforces the
presidential qualifications outlined in Article 2, Section 1 of

certificate) to prove they are natural born citizens of the
United States - which is a requirement outlined in our
Constitution.

My question to you is: "Where do you stand on this?"

Our Constitution states:

"No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the
United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution,
shall be eligible to the Office of President."

This is very clear.

"Natural born" means born in the United States.

For most Americans, birth certificates are a matter of public
record.

The question is: Do you think we should just ignore the
Constitution of the United States? Or do you think we should
follow our Constitution?

I have never been known as a bomb thrower or an especially
controversial figure.

But I'm being lambasted by the media and late-night comics. And
the national liberal left has made me Target #1 for defeat in the
2010 Congressional elections, already making tens of thousands of
automated phone calls in my district and raising a
multi-million-dollar campaign war chest to defeat me.

I am writing to ask if you will contribute to help me raise the
$4,000,000 that I will need to withstand the blistering assault
already being waged against me - and that will only intensify in
the coming weeks and months.

Most supporters of my campaign are sending contributions in the
$25 to $50 range.

Some are sending larger gifts - from $100 up to even $1,000 -
while others are making an equal sacrifice by sending $10 or $15.
